Pasture Raised Pork


We humanely raise pork on grass and hay, food scraps, garden gleanings, and antibiotic-free & hormone-free grain. The pigs have the best winter place on the farm situated in the garden-with free choice access to the outdoors or their warm bedded pack-where they can forage for garden gleanings and soil grubs, plus eat hay, grain, and all-vegetable food scraps.

Come fall, they are transported the short distance to The Royal Butcher-a USDA inspected facility and sold to customers as either finished wholes or halves. Local processing of smoked and fresh pork cuts are available from VT Smoke and Cure in Barre. The finished product is amazing!

Winter is the time of year to enjoy pork shoulder roasts in the crock pot and secure a beautifully smoked ham for your Easter celebration.

Wholesale-

Finished whole pigs (approximately 130 lbs. per pig hanging weight) are sold as wholes, halves or quarters for $4.00 per pound hanging weight.

SMOKING of shoulder roasts, hams and bacon is also available for an additional $1.50 per pound (based on green weight).

To order, print, fill out and mail the Processing and Smoking preferences sheet. (pdf file).

Pork orders will be available for pick up/delivery in early February. This timeline includes time for smoking hams, bacon and roasts at VT Smoke and Cure in Barre, VT.
